Brighter Nights Lighting Technologies (“Brighter Nights,” “we,” “us”) makes permanent smart outdoor lighting and delivers it through building supply distributors and certified installers. This policy explains what information we collect on this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

What we collect

• Information you give us in forms. When you register as a homeowner, apply as a contractor, or apply as a distributor, we collect what the form asks for. That can include your name, email address, phone number, property or business address, business name, service area, and, for trade applications, a federal EIN.
• Estimator inputs. If you use our design and estimating tools, we process the address you enter and roof measurement data returned by mapping services in order to build your estimate.
• Messages you send us. Emails, form notes, and questions you submit, including questions asked through our on-site assistant.
• Technical basics. Like most websites we receive standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, and we use security services that distinguish people from bots.

How we use it

• To build your estimate, create your account, and respond to your request.
• To route your project. A homeowner request is sent to one certified installer or the relevant distributor branch so someone can actually help you. We do not sell your request to a list of competing bidders.
• To review and approve contractor and distributor applications.
• To send you information you asked for. You can opt out of marketing email at any time using the link in the message.
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to serve you. That means the distributor branch or certified installer handling your project, and the service providers that run our operations, such as our CRM, email, website hosting, mapping and measurement services, and bot protection. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we never shop your contact details to competitor call lists.

How long we keep it

We keep records as long as we have an active relationship with you or as needed for legitimate business and legal purposes, then delete or de-identify them.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections, bot verification on our forms, and rate limiting. No website can promise perfect security, so please contact us if you believe any information has been misused.

Your choices

• Ask us what information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Opt out of marketing email at any time.

Send any of these requests to info@brighternights.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights, and we honor those.

Children

This site is for adults arranging lighting for homes and businesses. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
