Ultimate Access

Example on the way. Certified members generate this one inside the Light Genie, with their own logo already on it.
Why now
Permanent architectural lighting started in 2010. It is now one of the fastest-growing segments in exterior services, compounding at roughly twice the rate of the traditional holiday-lighting business it replaces. The homeowners are already looking. The certified contractors are not there yet.

Run your own numbers
Slide each control. It shows what three years of this work puts in your pocket — next to what the very same work pays you under a competitor’s dealer program.

Jobs it takes to pay back the course
A model, not a promise. It uses your inputs and the assumptions above — nothing is guaranteed, and your market is your market.
The part competitors can’t copy
See the full warranty coverage →
The homeowner registers the system within 60 days and activates their own warranty — that part is theirs. But the coverage depends on the install having been done by a certified contractor. Uncertified work, no coverage.
That is the close. You are not arguing price against a cheaper bid — you are the bidder whose work keeps the warranty intact.
The course is the gate. This is the product. None of it opens while you’re still enrolled — it all switches on when the exam is marked.
Instant-quote requests, design requests and directory searches from your market, routed to one certified contractor. Not resold, not split, not bid out.
Included
Upload your logo once. Brochures, sales sheets, catalogs, spec sheets and the homeowner packet re-brand automatically with your company name, phone and license number.
Included
Job-level pricing calculators and the full margin guide — what you make on every system at every kit length. Certification-gated: enrolling does not open them, passing does.
Unlocks at certification
Your margin on any system, your nearest stocking distributor, install procedure, gateway and repeater questions, take-off help — answered at 11pm while you’re writing the bid.
Included
Photo in, rendered home and a line-item estimate out — the same engine behind the homeowner instant quote. Priced per use, and certified members pay a member rate rather than the open rate.
Member rate · usage-based
Listed in the public installer directory as a Certified Master of Lighting, with the seal for your truck, your proposals and your site — a credential a homeowner can look up before they call you.

One time
Pay as you go
Rendering is billed per rendering rather than as a subscription, so a slow month costs you nothing.
Self-paced and online. Most contractors finish in a week of evenings. Retake any module test until you pass it.
Permanent lighting as a business line: job sizes, close rates, seasonality, and why it attaches to work you already sell.
Current, heat and connection failure — the engineering case you’ll make on every kitchen table, in language a homeowner follows.
What each system is for, how they share a controller and a mesh, and how to structure the first job so the next five are yours.
Bluetooth mesh, gateways, repeaters, amplifiers, and what happens when the homeowner’s internet goes down.
Measuring a house, kit selection, power injection points, run limits, and designing a job that doesn’t need a second controller.
Mounting, transitions, elevation jumps, controller and power placement, and the finish details that separate a clean install from a callback.
Low-voltage runs, wet-location practice, fixture aiming, and the code considerations around pools and docks.
Scenes, schedules, astro timing, and the twenty minutes with the homeowner that decides your review.
Diagnosing a dropped section, signal issues over long runs, and section replacement on site.
What’s covered for how long, the 60-day homeowner registration, why certified installation is a condition, and how to get a system approved by an HOA board.
Using the rendering in the sales call, handling the cheaper-competitor objection, and pricing the job with the margin guide.
Most brands sell you a dealership: a fee, a territory, a minimum, and a lead you share. Tap any card for the detail.
One payment, no renewal, no annual dues. What you pay for is the exam and everything it unlocks — not the right to buy product.
Work wherever you already work. We don’t carve up markets, and we don’t sell exclusivity to whoever signed first.
Your certification doesn’t lapse because you had a slow quarter. Buy from any stocking distributor, in whatever quantity the job needs.
Every lead from the instant quote, design requests and the directory routes to exactly one certified contractor. Never resold, never bid out.
Upload your logo once and the whole library rebuilds in your name — brochures, catalogs, spec sheets, the HOA package.
You put the first system on the property, so every one that follows joins your mesh and is a job only you can quote without tearing anything out.
You’re listed publicly as a Certified Master of Lighting. A homeowner can look you up before they call — and coverage depends on certified work.

The callback leak
You do not invoice a callback. You drive to it, fix it, and
absorb it. Certification exists because the cheapest callback is the one that never happens.
60 installs × 12% = 7.2 callbacks a year
That is 2.9 truck rolls a year you stop making — and $4,932 over five.
Truck-roll default of $342.50 is a one-tech service call, inside the
$150–$500 band published field-service research puts on a truck roll. Two techs pushes it to the
top of that band; most permanent-lighting repairs are a one-man call, pool enclosures and tall-ladder
work take two.
The full tool breaks callbacks into four categories and runs them out
five years. This is the short version.

No. We’re a manufacturer and we sell through distribution — you buy from any stocking distributor you already have an account with. No purchase minimum, no order required to keep your certification.
Neither. It’s a certification. You keep your own company name, branding, pricing and territory. No franchise fee, no royalty, nothing to renew.
Every homeowner lead generated on our site routes to exactly one Certified Master of Lighting. Not sold to three contractors, not put in a bidding pool, not resold later.
It’s billed per use rather than as a subscription, and certified members are billed at a discounted member rate. It is not bundled into the enrollment — certification gets you access and the better rate, not free usage.
When you pass the certification exam — not when you enroll. Pricing and margin material sits behind the credential rather than behind a checkout.
The homeowner does, by registering the system within 60 days of installation. What certification changes is whether that coverage stands at all: certified installation is a condition of the warranty.
Self-paced and online. Most contractors work through the eleven modules in about a week of evenings, and you can retake any test until you pass.
Certification is issued to an individual, because the credential is what a homeowner checks. Talk to us about certifying additional installers — the directory listing stays with your company.
Nothing changes. There’s no exclusivity clause. Plenty of certified contractors carry more than one line.
