Roofline lighting is a track of LEDs that runs along the roofline. Soffit lighting is a set of sealed fixtures recessed into the soffit, the underside of the eave. Both are permanent. Both change color from the same app. A home can use the two together. Brighter Nights Lighting Technologies manufactures both systems and sells them through distribution nationwide. This guide explains how each system is built, what each one does well and how to choose.
Roofline lighting follows the edge of the roof. The BNLT roofline system is built on a powder coated aluminum track that comes in 3 foot sections. LEDs sit every 12 inches along the track, so the lights trace the shape of the roof. Homeowners pick it when they want the house outlined in color for a holiday, a game day or a party. It is also the permanent answer to hanging Christmas lights every year. See the permanent roofline track lighting system.
Soffit lighting sits under the eave. The BNLT soffit system has no track, no strands and no bulbs. Each light is a sealed, low profile fixture that mounts flush in the soffit. Quick connect waterproof leads join the fixtures, so nothing hangs and nothing dangles. Each fixture puts out about 600 lumens and can show 16 million colors. Every fixture is individually addressable, so each one can show its own color. Fixtures come in bronze, white and black. Soffit lighting suits rooflines, eaves, entryways and covered outdoor spaces. See the soffit lighting system.

Yes. Roofline and soffit lighting are separate systems that share one app. Control is Bluetooth mesh, so the lights run without Wi-Fi. An optional Wi-Fi Gateway adds remote access. Lights across the property can be controlled together or one area at a time.

BNLT is the manufacturer. BNLT sells through distribution nationwide and does not install. Homeowners fill out one form, and BNLT matches them with a certified installer and an estimate. Contractors buy through a stocking distributor. A typical soffit install takes about one day.
